PACKWOOD. Obit. J. Scott LOUGHARY was born in Des Moines County, Iowa, Nov. 15, 1838, and died at the home of his son. W. E. LOUGHARY, east of Packwood, Aug. 26, 1921. With his widowed mother he came to Jefferson County when a child and has since made this community his home. He enlisted in Co. F, 3rd Iowa Cavalry in 1861, and served four years or until the close of the war. Married Miss Jennie SINCLAIR of Jefferson County March 7, 1867; three children: Mrs. Orrie MITCHELL of Miles City, Mont.; W. E. LOUGHARY of Packwood; H.W. LOUGHARY of Goldenvale, Wash.... Funeral at M.E. Church at Packwood Aug. 27. Interment in Packwood Cemetery.
