Last rites will be Monday for Mrs. Mertha KENYON MYERS, 87, former resident of Jefferson County who died Thurs. Aug. 25, at Tucson, Ariz. Born Jan. 1, 1879, near Pekin, Iowa, in Jefferson County, daughter of William A. and Louisa PETERS BLACK. Reared and educated in the Pekin and Abingdon communities and was married to William E. KENYON on Nov. 16, 1898; he died Mar. 2, 1939. On Jan. 27, 1943, she was married to Charles Omar MYERS who died March 9, 1947. Member Christian Church at Abingdon, spent her entire life in Jefferson County except the last 17 years during which she lived in Tucson. Survived by one grandson, three greatgrandchildren, and a brother, Carl BLACK, Batavia.
