Obit. MRS. MARTHA M. KENYON. Martha Melissa BOWMAN, daughter of Washington and Mary Jane (SISSON) BOWMAN, born Aug. 10, 1864, near Sigourney, Keokuk County, Iowa, died Wed., Aug. 23, 1944, at Jefferson County Hospital, age 80-0-13. Lived with her sister, Mrs. E. S. PARKS, in Fairfield the past 5½ years. Baptized at Ioka Baptist Church at age 12. On March 28, 1884, married Theophilus KENYON at the home of her parents near Seymour, Iowa. Went at once to the farm near Packwood.... until Mr. KENYON's health failed, then moved to Hedrick for nine years, returned to the farm in 1907. In 1907 built a home in Linby and lived there until Mr. KENYON's death Nov. 18, 1913. Preceding her in death besides parents and husband, one sister, Mrs. Laura BREWER and two brothers, William H. and Eugene B. BOWMAN. Survived by brothers and sisters: C. S. BOWMAN, Unionville, Mo.; J. W. BOWMAN, Lucerne, Mo; Mrs. E. S. PARKS, Fairfield, and Mrs. Sam PARKS, Fairfield, and Mrs. Melinda COWGER, Billings, Montana. Burial at Packwood.
