MRS. NELLIE HINTZ. Penelope June BENN, daughter of Alexander and Phoebe BENN, was born in Jefferson County near Packwood on Jan. 16, 1862; died near Packwood Apr. 14, 1924, age 61-6-8; married Charles HINTZ Feb. 20, 1895; he died 25 years ago. Two children, Freda Marie who died at the age of 3 months and Charles Walter who survives. 10 children in her family, three sisters died some years ago. One sister, Teresa Virginia died in infancy; Mrs. Maggie HOUGHTON died in 1908 at Chadron, Nebr.; and Mrs. Frances DAVIS at Fremont, Iowa in 1920. Those living are Robert BENN of Ottumwa; John BENN of Birmingham; Mrs. Viola DRAPER of Washington, Iowa; Charles BENN, Mrs. Lillie MITCHELL and Mrs. Etta BALDWIN of Packwood, Iowa... Interment Packwood Cemetery.
