PACKWOOD. Mary Jane GILL HARRIS. Mary Jane GILL was born in Indiana Nov. 15, 1837, died at her home in Packwood Apr. 1, 1918. Married Wm. HARRIS Sept. 10, 1865. Their married life was spent in Keokuk County until about (?) years ago they moved here. Member Christian Church. Mr. HARRIS died some years ago. One sister, whose home is in California, survives. Had no children of her own, but gave a mother's care to two nephews, sons of her sister who died when the youngest was a few months old. They are J. E. HARRIS and B. C. MARLOWE of Sutherland, Iowa. Four nephews, Frank MARLOWE, W.W. GILL, James GILL, and Wm. GILL also mourn the loss of the kind aunt... Packwood Cemetery near her husband... Mrs. Sallie PERRY of Los Angeles, Cal., arrived here Sunday evening. She was notified by wire of the death of her aunt, Mrs. Mary J. HARRIS, but owing to train service enroute did not arrive in time for the funeral.
