MOURER, Winogean 'Winnie' -- Winogean "Winnie" MOURER, 87, of rural Richland, died at 1:05 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, at Arbor Court Nursing Home in Mount Pleasant.

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Richland United Methodist Church in Richland, with the Rev. Kim Gates officiating. Burial will be in Richland Friends Cemetery.

Open visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Friday at Gould Funeral Home in Richland, with the family present from 6-7:30 p.m.

Memorials may be left at the funeral home or church or may be mailed to the family at 1030 320th Street, Richland 52585.

Mrs. MOURER was born May 20, 1921, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of William "Bill" and Luzetta CULBERTSON McNEESE. She married Ray MOURER Oct. 27, 1946, in Grinnell.

Mrs. MOURER grew up in Eddyville and moved to Ottumwa, where she graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1939. She worked as a telephone operator for several years before moving to a farm east of Richland, where she lived until May 2006 when she moved into Arbor Court Nursing Home.

Mrs. MOURER was a member of Richland United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Rubio Club and Clay Club.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Jill SEEVERS and husband Ed of Kansas City, Mo., and Christy McCORMICK and husband Phil of Mount Pleasant; two sons, Kirk MOURER and wife Shelly of Crane, Mo., and Brett MOURER and wife Ana of Tampa, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, LeRoy BEGGS.
