BAKER, Sam P. -- Sam P. BAKER, 80, died this morning at his home s.e. of Packwood. Hoskins Funeral Home. Born Sept. 20, 1877, in Kansas, son of L. D. and Mary STOUGHTON BAKER. Reared and educated in Wapello and Jefferson Counties. Spent the last 38 years in Jefferson County. Married Aug. 28, 1901, Edith DAVIS at her home near Hedrick. Survived by wife, three children, Mrs. Mary CONGER, Packwood, Mrs. Murle BOTTORFF, Packwood, and a son Millard BAKER at home; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one brother Will BAKER, Santa Monica, Calif., two half-brothers, one half-sister, and two step-brothers survive.
