ATWOOD, Irwin Wyllie -- Irwin Wyllie ATWOOD, 60, well known Jefferson County farmer and former president of the Jefferson County Farm Bureau, died suddenly this morning at his farm home about 1½ mile north of Brookville. Heart attack. Hoskins Funeral Home. Born Apr. 18, 1895, at Piper City, Illinois, son of the late W.T. and Ressie ATWOOD. Moved to Jefferson County with the family when nine years old and lived on a farm south of Fairfield; married Aug. 8, 1922, at Traer, Iowa, Genevieve GASTON, who survives. Member Packwood Methodist Church, was serving as Supt. of S.S. at time of his death. Member Masonic Lodge at Abingdon, former member of Packwood School Board.... also survived by two sons, Wayne at home and Don who is married and lives across the road; two grandchildren, two brothers, Harold ATWOOD, Lockridge, and Wilson ATWOOD, Birmingham, and a sister, Alice ATWOOD, Elmhurst, Illinois. Preceded in death by his parents, a daughter and two sisters.
