EHRET, Mildred Lucille 'Millie' -- Mildred Lucille "Millie" EHRET, 80, of Eldon, died at 1:55 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2008, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, with the Rev. Ricky Fiedler officiating. Burial will be in Eldon Cemetery.

Open visitation began at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home, with the family present from 6-8 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the family.

Mrs. EHRET was born Oct. 12, 1927, in Ottumwa, the daughter of Merle and Hazel HAINELINE CARLTON. She married Abraham EHRET June 30, 1946. He preceded her in death in 1993.

A lifelong resident of Eldon, Mrs. EHRET worked at Cedar Creek Rescare for 24 years, retiring in 1992.

Survivors include her life partner, Bob BREWSTER; one daughter, Cathy FIEDLER, four sons, Mike, Bob, Jack and Al; 15 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Billie Joe EHRET; one daughter, Chris HANSON; one grandson; two brothers, Joe and Merl CARLTON; and one sister, Bonnie Jean MATHIAS.
