PENROD, Colberta C. 'Colby' -- Colberta C. "Colby" PENROD, 76, of Fairfield, died at 2:55 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at home.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, with the Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the family present from 5-7 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Iowa Hospice, 223 First Ave. E., Suite 2, Oskaloosa 52577, or McCreery Cancer Center in Ottumwa.

Mrs. PENROD was born June 5, 1931, in Ottumwa, the daughter of Colbert J. and Eva L. WHEELER WEEKS. She married Richard B. PENROD March 23, 1961.

A 1949 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Mrs. PENROD moved to Milton in 1960. She had been a resident of Fairfield since 1998.

She was a member of Help Your Neighbor Club.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Loe Dema L. FARRIER and Debra PENROD, both of Fairfield, and Lavena PFLUM of Edina, Mo.; seven grandchildren; frour great-grandchildren; four brothers, William WEEKS and Ronald WEEKS, both of Ottumwa, Leland WEEKS of Floris and Harmand WEEKS of Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Constance CLARK of Silver Springs, Md., and Carol SHELDON of Ottumwa.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Bonnie BOLIN and Charlotte COLLINS.
