Mary I. MUNSON

Mary I. MUNSON, 75, of Lockridge, died Thursday, May 1, 2008, at home.

A funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church in Fairfield, with the Revs. Jim Wotherspoon, Ted MUNSON and Dan MUNSON officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Saturday at the church, where the family will be present from 6-8 p.m. Saturday and from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials may be directed to First Baptist Church.

Murphy Funeral Home of Mount Pleasant is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. MUNSON was born Aug. 15, 1932, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Charles and Bessie MORROW DOUD. She married Harold W. MUNSON Dec. 28, 1952, at United Methodist Church in Fairfield.

Mrs. MUNSON graduated from Fairfield High School in 1950. She worked at the Faribault Regional Center as a human service technician in Faribault, Minn. She and her husband were joint camp directors at Dayton Oaks Camp in Dayton.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fairfield.

Survivors include her husband; three children, Dan MUNSON and wife Renae of Andover, Minn., Ted MUNSON and wife Shelly of Oakdale, Minn., and Sue GEARY and husband Dwight of Owatonna, Minn.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marge "Kay" BOOK of Packwood.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John DOUD.
