HARGROVE, Donald -- Donald HARGROVE of Milton died today, Thursday morning, Feb. 14, 2008, at Bloomfield Care Center in Bloomfield.

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

HARGROVE, Donald C. -- Donald C. HARGROVE, 86, of rural Milton, died at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008, at Bloomfield Care Center in Bloomfield.

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Bryon Wixom officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Masonic Rites at 7 p.m., followed by visitation with the family until 8 p.m.

Memorials to Mr. HARGROVE's church may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 23827 Acorn Road, Milton 52570.

Mr. HARGROVE was born March 27, 1921, on the farm near Milton where he lived his entire life, the son of J. Glen and Edith CAMPBELL HARGROVE. He married Mary Eleanor PINNELL Nov. 24, 1963, in Denver, Colo.

Mr. HARGROVE graduated from Milton High School and attended Iowa State College in Ames. He was a retired farmer.

He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Milton and had served in various church offices. He was a 50-year Mason in Celestial Lodge No. 413, A. F. & A. M., Douds, a past master of the former Aurora Lodge No. 50, Milton, a member of York Rite Masonic Bodies in Ottumwa, Twin City Chapter No. 258, Order of the Eastern Star, Douds, past president of the Sunnyside Cemetery Association and past secretary of the Milton Volunteer Fire Association. He served as a board member of the Van Buren County Care Facility and was a member of Van Buren County Farm Bureau.

Survivors include his wife and one sister, Virginia HARGROVE FLORA of Erie, Pa.

His parents preceded him in death.
