STALDER, Anna Elizabeth -- Anna Elizabeth STALDER, 91, of Fairfield, formerly of Washington, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield following a brief illness.

A service will be held at a later date in Washington.

Memorials may be directed to St. James Catholic Church in Washington.

Mrs. STALDER was born Feb. 2, 1916, in Wayland, the daughter of John B. and Lena M. BOESE HERTIG. She married Elmer L. STALDER Jan. 13, 1934, at St. James Catholic Church in Washington.

Mrs. STALDER attended school in Wayland. She was a homemaker.

She was a former member of St. James Catholic Church.

Mrs. STALDER enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren.

Survivors include one daughter, Dolores "Dee" BUSH of Fairfield; nine grandchildren; several great- and great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Freda JEFFRIES of Washington, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, James STALDER and Roger STALDER; one daughter, Joanne GENKINGER; one great-granddaughter; two sisters; two brothers; and one son-in-law, David BUSH.
