Dell A. Robinson, 92, of Fairfield, died Sunday, March 26, 2006, at Nelson Nursing Home.

A graveside memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield, with the Rev. Danny Cary officiating. The body has been cremated.

Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Nelson Nursing Home Activity Fund may be sent to 810 S. Fourth St., Fairfield 52556.

Mr. Robinson was born Dec. 20, 1913, in Fairfield, the son of Charles and Clara Annette Anderson Robinson. He married Dorothy Louise Bucher March 18, 1941. She died Oct. 13, 1985. He later married LaCene Ferrel in 1992, and they divorced in 1996.

Mr. Robinson lived his entire life in the Fairfield community, graduating from Fairfield High School in 1933. He was a plumber for Robinson’s Plumbing.

Mr. Robinson was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, serving in France.

Mr. Robinson was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Fairfield. He was the oldest member of BPOE 1192 in Fairfield and was a 50-year Mason of Fairfield Clinton Masonic Lodge AF & AM 15.

He enjoyed woodworking and quilting after his retirement.

Survivors include three children, Rosemary Trehy of Hot Springs Village, Ark., Sandra Kehoe of Cheshire, Conn., and John Robinson of Fairfield; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Rollin Robinson of Mesa, Ariz; and one sister, Neomi Schaefer of Fairfield.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Hazel Salts; and two brothers, Fred and Harry.
