SCARLETT, Howard J. -- Howard J. SCARLETT, 64, of Keosauqua, died Nov. 1, 2007, in the Van Buren County Hospital emergency room in Keosauqua.

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

SCARLETT, Howard J. -- Howard J. SCARLETT, 43, of Keosauqua, died Thursday morning, Nov. 1, 2007, in the Van Buren County Hospital emergency room in Keosauqua.

A graveside service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday in Thompson Cemetery in rural Bonaparte, with David Alexander officiating.

Family visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua. The gathering will proceed to the cemetery at 1:30 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the family and left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 211 Chestnut St., Keosauqua 52565.

Mr. SCARLETT was born June 24, 1964, in Keosauqua, the son of Harry and Jennie LEE SCARLETT.

Mr. SCARLETT lived his entire life in Keosauqua and was self-employed in lawn mowing and snow removal.

Survivors include his mother of Keosauqua; one sister, Kathy SCARLETT of Ottumwa, two half brothers, Bobby John BEAMES of Keosauqua and Terry BEAMES of Winfield; and two half sisters, Connie LEE of Davenport and Jackie COOP of Gorin, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers and two sisters.
