Thurs., March 23, 2006Edna Mae Ewing Lewman, 71, of Keosauqua, died at 7 a.m. today, Thursday, March 23, 2006, at home.
A service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating. Burial will be in Pittsburg Cemetery.
Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with family present from 6-8 p.m.
Memorials may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 20006 Osage Ave., Keosauqua 52565.
Mrs. Lewman was born Nov. 18, 1934, in Pittsburg, the daughter of Emmit and Esther Thomas Ewing. She married Thomas Lewman Aug. 2, 1952. He died March 9, 2003.
Mrs. Lewman grew up in Leando and graduated from Douds-Leando High School. She lived her entire life in the Douds and Keosauqua area. She had worked at J & B Plastics in Fairfield, Keosauqua Manufacturing Company and Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.
Survivors include five daughters, Loretta Kindle of Fairfield, Maurine Pilcher and Mona Pilcher, both of Douds, and Valerie Mote and Lana Beggs, both of Keosauqua; three sons, Emmit Lewman of Melbourne, Australia, Brent Lewman of Douds and Bert Lewman of Fairfield; 20 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Tommy C. and Randy Lewman.
