BEN HALL RITES TO BE THURSDAY.
Benjamin Franklin Hall, long-time resident of the Glasgow community, died at 4:12 p.m. Monday at the Jefferson County Hospital. He had been seriously ill for the past two weeks. Last rites will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Roland Crandall officiating.
Benjamin Franklin Hall, 82, was born June 24, 1881, in Jefferson County, the son of William M. and Martha Cline Hall. He was reared and educated in the Glasgow community. He was united in marriage to Ida Litton who died in 1930. He was married a second time to Elsie Smith. Hall, a member of the Methodist Church, was a farmer until his retirement.
Survivors include two sons, Allen Hall, Ottumwa, and Wayne Hall, New London; two daughters, Mrs. Bert E. Leyda, Bloomfield; and Mrs. Cleola Monike, Burlington; also six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
