DIED. CHAPMAN - At the house of her father, P. B. Hulse, on the morning of Oct. 20th, Mrs. Matilda Chapman, wife of Winfield S. Chapman of Jewell County, Kansas, in the 26th year of her age. Deceased was born Nov. 29, 1852 in Morgan County, Ohio. Her father moved to Henry County, Iowa, in 1854, and afterwards to Round Prairie township, this county. She was married in April, 1872, to the bereaved husband, and in company with two other young wives and their husbands moved to Kansas in October 1872, full of bright anticipations for the future. All three that then were brides have since died......She leaves a husband and three little children.
