MANTZ, Rita -- Rita MANTZ, 60, of Batavia, died Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A funeral is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

MANTZ, Rita M. -- Rita M. MANTZ, 60, of Batavia, died Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.

Mrs. MANTZ was born Oct. 21, 1946, in Creston, the daughter of Charles and Clara BARNHART GARWOOD.

Survivors include two daughters, Gerri Lynne BALIUS of Deep Water, Mo., and Sheri Marlene HALL of Pomeroy; one son, David Christopher HALL of Albert Lea, Minn.; her mother, Clara SWIHART of Batavia; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce PERKINS of Fairfield and Teena ROUSH of Newton; and three brothers, Larry WILSON of Batavia and Tony SHIELDS and Bill SHIELDS, both of Fairfield.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Cheryl SMITH, and one infant brother.
