Paul Dee JOHNSON

Paul Dee JOHNSON, 72, of Fairfield died today, Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The body has been cremated. No burial service is planned.

Visitation, with family present, is set 4-6 p.m. Saturday at 102 Burlington in Libertyville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be mailed to 102 Burlington, Libertyville 52567.

Mr. JOHNSON was born Oct. 29, 1934, in Ottawa, Ill. He married Shirley EKLUND in July 1973 in Fairfield. She died Aug. 7, 2001.

He was a roofer for 40 years and worked in Utopia Park for eight years. He was a Korean War veteran.

Survivors include his children: Brian JOHNSON and wife Peg of Fairfield, Becky BENTON of Des Moines, Kathy FARRIER of Fairfield, Paula VANDL and husband Richard of Fairfield and Jeff FARRIER and wife Sally of Fairfield; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and sisters.
