POUNDS, Van -- Van POUNDS, 40, of Brighton, died Monday, May 14, 2007, at home.

Arrangements are pending at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton.

POUNDS, Van A. -- Van A. POUNDS, 40, of Brighton, died Monday, May 14, 2007, at home.

A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Hope Lutheran Church in Germanville, with the Rev. Wayne Wilken officiating. Burial in Minot, N.D., will be at a later time.

Family visitation will be from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Memorials to the family may be left at the church or mailed to the family at 207 N. Harrison St., Brighton 52540.

Arrangements are in the care of Gould Funeral Home of Brighton.

Mr. POUNDS was born July 12, 1966, in Minot, N.D., the son of Clyde D. and Shirley M. PIERSON POUNDS Jr. He married Yvette EHRET March 14 in Washington, Iowa.

Mr. POUNDS graduated from high school in Havre, Mont. He had served in the U.S. Navy, worked for Wal-Mart in Minot, N.D., was a truck driver and worked as a chef on Prince Albert Sound in Alaska before moving to Iowa.

Survivors include his wife; two stepdaughters, Carman and Angelic EHRET of Brighton; twin sisters, Colleen COUNTS and Coreen HART, both of Minot, N.D.; and one brother, David PIERSON of Minot, N.D.

His parents preceded him in death.
