JONES, Michael Carr -- Michael Carr JONES, 62, of Libertyville, formerly of Batavia, died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A memorial visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield. The body has been cremated.

A memorial has been established. Cards and memorials may be sent to 1289 220th St., Batavia 52533.

Mr. JONES was born Oct. 2, 1944, in Ottumwa, the son of Gerald R. "Casey" and Jesse JONES. He married Patricia Lee SMITH June 21, 1963. She died Aug. 14, 1997.

Mr. JONES was a resident of the Fairfield community for 35 years. He farmed and was employed as a carpenter.

Survivors include two children, Donna MAUCK and Todd JONES, bothof Batavia; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Patrick JONES of Las Vegas, Nev.; and one stepsister, Julie COOPER of Des Moines.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Janet GLENN and Jeri FINDLEY.
