L. Mildred BOYER -- L. Mildred BOYER, 83, of Bellingham, Wash., died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007.

Mrs. BOYER was born April 22, 1923, in Dallas, the daughter of Jay Dea and Nellie Estell DAVIS.

Mrs. BOYER lived in Marshalltown for part of her childhood. Her career ranged from high fashion model to homecare nurse.

She was a skilled artisan, amateur photographer and collector of angels. She enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include three siblings; one son, Robert BOYER and wife Connie of Fairfield; one daughter, Lana BOYER of Bellingham; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three siblings.
