Edna M. BOGGS, 90, formerly of Libertyville, died March 5, 2006, in Kirkland, Wash.

A memorial service was held Saturday at Mount Scott Funeral Home in Portland, Ore.

Memorials may be made to Group Health Hospice in Seattle.

Mrs. BOGGS was born Aug. 11, 1915, in Ottumwa, the daughter of Charles and Nancy Nichols BEGHTOL. She married Herbert E. BOGGS in 1936. He died in 2002.

Mrs. BOGGS was a resident of Libertyville from 1938-1952 when her family moved to the Portland area. She graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1931, and attended Parsons College in Fairfield. She also attended Portland State College and Reed College in Portland. She taught calligraphy at several Portland area schools and was a librarian for Multnomah County libraries. She moved to Kirkland following the death of her husband.

Mrs. BOGGS was a member of Libertyville Methodist Church.

Survivors include three sons, David C. of Washougal, Wash., Dick of Kirkland, and Robert S. of Annandale, Va.; one sister Leona MEEKER of Ottumwa; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Leroy and Donald BEGHTOL; one sister, Irene LEWIS; and one infant son, Stephen A.
