Mon., May 22, 2006, p. 8.Janet R. WINGATE, 71, of Libertyville, died Sunday, May 21, 2006, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.
A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville, with the Rev. Thomas Raphael-Nakos officiating. Burial will be in Fell Cemetery.
Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Windows of Faith Project for the new Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville and sent to Box 53, Libertyville 52567.

Mrs. WINGATE was born March 17, 1935, the daughter of Edward and Marjorie Louth BUCHER. She married Don WINGATE Oct. 31, 1952, at First Christian Church in Fairfield.
Mrs. WINGATE graduated from Libertyville High School in 1952 and spent 23 years as a U.S. Air Force wife and mother before returning to Libertyville. She was employed as a school cook at Libertyville grade school for 10 years.
Mrs. WINGATE was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville. She was a member of UMW and a former Girl Scout leader. She also was a member of a steering committee of the annual Army Engineer Reunion.
Survivors include her husband; three children, Donna and William BYERS of Fairfax, Va., Robert and Kelley WINGATE of Danville and Tim WINGATE and Kelly WELCH-WINGATE of Ames; six grandchildren; two brothers, Larry BUCHER of Willow Springs, Mo., and Jim BUCHER of the Iowa Veteran’s Home in Marshalltown.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
