FAIRFIELD -- Mrs. Fred G. ELDER, 77, died Tuesday at 11:45 p.m. at her home at 104½ N, Main, following an illness of about two years.
She was born Nov. 23, 1877, the daughter of Clarence L. and Clara L. FULTON McGAW. On May 30, 1897, she was married to Harry BEATTY who died Jan. 20, 1920.
The survivors include her husband, Fred G. ELDER, to whom she was married Feb. 15, 1921, at Ottumwa.
She was a member of the First Methodist church, Woman's Relief corps, American Legion Auxiliary, and Hawkeye Rebekah lodge 376.
Besides her husband survivors include one daughter, Mrs. R. A. NAFFZIGER of Belleview, Ill.; one son, Guylan of Fairfield; three sisters, Mrs. Anna IKERD of Fairfield; Mrs. Harold NELSON of Lockridge and Mrs. Charles COLEMAN of Mercedes, Tex.
Funeral services have been tentatively set for Friday at the Hoskins Funeral home.
