RITES FOR MRS. BLACKFORD TO BE WEDNESDAY
Well Known Fairfield Woman Dies Suddenly On Monday At Home

Funeral services for Mrs. J. C. BLACKFORD, who died suddenly yesterday at her home here, will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home in charge of Dr. U. S. Smith. Special seats will be reserved for members of the Methodist Brotherhood Bible Class, of which Mr. BLACKFORD is a member. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. BLACKFORD suffered a heart attack, and death was sudden. She was found dead in bed Monday morning.

Anna Elizabeth BLACKFORD, was born Oct. 11, 1861, and is survived by her husband, and two daughters, Mrs. Edna LOFGREN and Florence ELAND of Mediapolis, and son Albert E. of Minneapolis. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and one great grandchild, and one brother George W. JONES, of St. Louis, Mo.

Mr. and Mrs. BLACKFORD celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Oct. 19, 1932, and they have a large circle of friends in Fairfield. She was a lifelong member of the Congregational church, and was greatly devoted to her home and her family.

The body was taken to the Hoskins funeral home.

BLACKFORD RITES HELD WEDNESDAY; EVERGREEN BURIAL

A large number of friends joined with relatives yesterday afternoon to pay their final tribute of respect to Mrs. J. C. BLACKFORD, who died suddenly of a heart attack early Monday morning. Services were held from the Hoskins funeral home and were in charge of Dr. U. S. Smith.

He spoke appreciative and comforting words, using as his text, 'Your Father knoweth what things he have need of.' Mrs. B. F. Leathers sang several favorite hymns as solos.

Members of the Brotherhood Bible class, of which Mr. BLACKFORD has long been a member, were present in a body. The pallbearers were E. G. Fligg, R. E. Larson, Harvey Erickson, A. F. Greef, D. A. Ricketts and Dean Taylor. Burial was in the family lot in Evergreen cemetery.
