Violet "Vicky" Mallinger, 61, of Fairfield, died today, Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with Rev. Danny Cary officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Family visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A book of condolence may be signed from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Newbold family. Cards and memorials may be sent to 701 W. Broadway Ave., Fairfield 52556.

Mrs. MALLINGER was born Nov. 18, 1944, in Fairfield, the daughter of Eugene and Helen Fields HOAGE. She married Victor J. MALLINGER Sr. July 28, 1962, in Fairfield. He died Jan. 2, 1998.

Mrs. MALLINGER lived all her life in the Fairfield area. She was employed at Universal Producing and J&B Plastics.

Her hobbies and interests included her roses, television, the Chicago Cubs and her family.

Survivors include one daughter, Theresa NEWBOLD and husband Doug; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and four sisters, Vi FUGARINO of Keosauqua, Maxine MANLEY of Birmingham, and Fon CLINE and Louise CLINE, both of Fairfield.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Victor Jay MALLINGER Jr.
