Harold “Tom” DAVIS Jr., 58, of Bonaparte, died at 5:55 a.m. Friday, July 28, 2006, at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Larry Wagner officiating. The body has been cremated.

Open visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the family present from 7-8 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at P.O. Box 348, Bonaparte 52620.

Mr. DAVIS was born April 16, 1948, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Harold T. and Juanita Medley DAVIS Sr. He married Ruby Holden BECKER Aug. 21, 1985, in Bonaparte.

Mr. DAVIS grew up in Missouri until moving to Bonaparte when he was 12. He held several jobs, including farming and logging. He had worked at a rendering plant and at Fairfield Aluminum Castings Company in Fairfield for several years until retiring in 1994.

Survivors include his wife; six children, Rhonda “Sue” FREAD of Washington, Devin DAVIS and wife Stephanie of Davenport, Kenny DAVIS of Chariton, Kevin HOLDEN of Birmingham, Keith BECKER and wife Jane of Fairfield and Leonard “Joe” BECKER of Bonaparte; several grandchildren; one great-grandson; four brothers, Douglas DAVIS of Crane, Mo., Michael DAVIS of Aurora, Mo., Ronald DAVIS of West Tawakoni, Texas, and Chris DAVIS of Bonaparte; four sisters, Virginia HAUCK of Rolla, Mo., Janeth JOHNSON and Debora ORTWEIN, both of Monett, Mo., and Juanita MARTIN of Springfield, Mo.; his stepmother, Barbara DAVIS of Bonaparte; and several stepbrothers and stepsisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Joyce BOYER.
