With both peace and grief in our hearts, we lost our grandmother Irene ADAMS on September 24th after 99 years of loving and being loved by family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her 1st husband Alvin WINCHELL, sons Donald and Robert WINCHELL, daughter Donna MEATHERINGHAM, grandson Alvin WINCHELL, granddaughter Sheryl GADZINSKI, 2nd husband Stephen ADAMS, parents Ruben and Cora CUBBAGE (nee Brown), brothers Leonard, Harold, Charles and Richard, and sisters Mary and Lucille, and is survived by daughter Dorothy GADZINSKI of Snohomish, WA and William/Dee WINCHELL of Chandler, AZ as well as 15 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great- grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers Eugene CUBBAGE and Robert/Betty CUBBAGE of Libertyville, IA and Violet/Willard HYDE of Clarksville, Tennessee and many nieces and nephews (with a special thank you to niece Janette CAMPBELL of Batavia, IA for being so close to our grandmother’s heart).

A celebration of grandma’s life will be held at the Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville, IA on Saturday, October 28, 2006, 10:30 AM, with her ashes interred at Fell Cemetery (with a reception to follow at the church, where friends and family are invited to share memories and tears).
