WM. SCHUTZ OF SALINA DIES
Funeral Services To Be Held Friday In Salina

William SCHUTZ 78 years of age died early this morning at his home near Salina after having been in poor health for some time. Mr. SCHUTZ was born Feb. 20, 1858 and has lived his entire life in the Salina vicinity. He is survived by his wife, two brothers and three sisters, F. O. SCHUTZ, C. F. SCHUTZ, Alma SCHUTZ, and Mrs. Clara GILWORTH, all of Salina, and Mrs. Charles GIBSON of Fairfield. One nephew, Frank GIBSON and one niece, Mrs. Arthur CULBERTSON, both of Fairfield also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Friday at the Salina Lutheran church, with Rev. Lundquist in charge. Burial will be in the Salina cemetery. The body was taken to the Hoskins Funeral home.

OBITUARY

JOHN WILLIAM SCHUTZ

John William SCHUTZ, eldest son of the late Andrew and Louise SCHUTZ was born on his Paterial (sic) grandfathers farm near Salina, Feb. 20, 1858 and passed away Oct. 27th, 1936. He was baptized in infancy and thru the act of confirmation became a member in the New Sweden Lutheran church on May 16th 1875 where he remained as a member until transferring membership to Clara Lutheran in Salina about the year 1890.

He was united in Holy matrimony to Anna SUNDSTROM on Dec. 25th 1890 and to this union three children were born. A daughter Lily lived for some time, the other two dying in infancy. He is also preceeded (sic) in death by one sister, Josephine Caroline and a brother Victor Emanuel. He is survived by his wife, two brothers, Frank and Fremont of Salina. Three sisters, Miss Alma SCHUTZ and Mrs. Clara GILWORTH of Salina and Mrs. Chas. GIBSON of Fairfield; a host of close relatives and friends. He was laid to rest in the Lutheran cemetery at Salina, with Pastor Ellsworth of Hedrick and Pastor Lundberg officiating.

The out of town, Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson, Corning; Mrs. Bessie SUNDSTROM Corning, Mr. Ellsworth Anderson of Fargo, N. Dakota; Mrs. Arthur Carr, Ft. Dodge; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Newsum, Manson, Iowa; Mr. J. M. SCHUTZ Mt. Pleasant; Mr. Chas. SCHUTZ Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Alice Sterner, Mt. Pleasant; Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Shonberg Swedesburg.

Pall bearers were Mr. Streed, Raymond Jacobs, Albert Rosequist, T. P. Johnson, John Lesher and Nels Nelson all of Salina community.
