Andrew Magnus SCHEUTZ was born in Ostra Tollstad, Linkopings lan, Sweden (sic), 24 May 1829, son of Carl John and Anna C. SCHEUTZ, and came with them to America in 1852, locating at Burlington; married Mar. 4, 1857, Louisa ANDERSON who died eight years ago. They made their first home at New Sweden, Jefferson County, Iowa. Immediately they became charter members of the New Sweden Lutheran Church. In 1892 they became charter members of the Lutheran Church organized in Salina.
Eight children, all living except Victor Emanuel who died at about five years of age. They are William, Frank, Fremont, Josephine and Alma SCHEUTZ of Salina, Mrs. Anna R. GIBSON of Fairfield and Mrs. Clara M. GILWORTH of Davenport. He is also mourned by two brothers, John of Mt. Pleasant and Adolph of Kansas City, Mo., and by two grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.... Died at his home in Salina March 16 aged 91-9-23. Bur. Salina Cemetery.
