John DICKINSON, 63, Jefferson County farmer, was found dead on his tractor in a field near the DICKINSON farm near Salina Thursday evening. He had stopped the tractor when stricken. Interment will be in Salina Cemetery.
Born May 9, 1905, at Richland, son of Arthur and Bessie JOHNSON DICKINSON; reared and educated in the Pleasant Plain community. On Nov. 24, 1925, married Blanche LOVEDY who survives. Spent his entire life at farming, the past 27 years near Salina. Member of the Salina Presbyterian Church.
Also survived by one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Joyce) ANDERSON, R2, Fairfield; three sons, Arthur Tracey, Oskaloosa; Eugene, New York, N.Y.; and Jerry, Roland, Iowa; eight grandchildren; one brother, Delmar DICKINSON, Packwood, and a sister, Mrs. Vera THORSON, Walcott, Iowa.
