Andrew CASTILE died Oct. 27. One of the oldest and most respect citizens of Lockridge township. Born in Sweden Mar. 3 1823, came to America in 1848, stopping for a time at Rock Island, Ill., and July 4 of the following year arrived at Fairfield, Iowa. Shoemaker.....Sept 30 1849 married Miss Sarah E. ANDERSON, a member of the first Swedish colony of the western states; she survives. 12 children, 7 now living: Andrew A., York, Neb.; John, S. Omaha, Neb.; R.L., Holdrege, Neb.; Isaac, G.A., Mrs. Oscar LARSON and Delia M., who reside here; all married except the latter. Four children died in infancy; the other, a daughter, Mrs. August BERG, died at Denver, Colo., in 1893. 40 grandchildren, 31 are now living. M.E.Church.....
