R. Walter CARLSON, 70, resident of Jefferson County, died Nov 21 Jefferson County Hospital. Born Oct 25 1889 Packwood, son of Peter and Christena Swenson CARLSON; married Nellie HILL Feb 24 1915, Ottumwa. She died Mar 13 1929. Bur. New Sweden Methodist Cemetery. Survivors: Three sons, Walter E. of Fairfield; Vincent of Tipton, Iowa, and Norris of Lockridge; 15 grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Addie ARONSON of Fairfield. Member New Sweden Lutheran Church. Lifelong resident of Jefferson County, most of it near Lockridge.
