FOUR CORNERS. Erick SMITH was born Nov. 1, 1813, died Jan. 9, 1894. He, with his wife, came from Sweden in 1849, cleared a place in the forest two miles north of Lockridge and made that place his continuous residence.

Six of his seven children now living are: Gust, Charles, and David of Lockridge; Alex of Montana; Mrs. Sarah McINTOSH of Burlington; Mrs. NELSON of northern Iowa. He was one of the founders of the Swedish Lutheran Church in Iowa.....
