AGED COUPLE STRICKEN. John SIGNAL, a well known resident of Lockridge township, died at his home near Salina the 1st inst.. Native of Sweden, in the 82nd year of his age. Wife Anna SIGNAL, survived him only until Friday. Was born in Sweden, age 75 years. They had been in the U.S. about 25 years, in Lockridge township most of that time...

Two children survive: August Johnson of Rock Island, Ill., and Mrs. J. C. LINDQUIST of Lockridge township. Remains interred in the Swedish Lutheran Cemetery near Four Corners.
