TWO LARGE FAMILIES. The "Nevada Representative" notes the death of Benjamin CORBIN at that place January 27th at the age of ninety-two years, eleven months, six days. His wife, with whom he had lived more than seventy years, died last year. Mr. and Mrs. CORBIN were the parents of a large family of children, of whom one son and seven daughters survive them. They also have 133 living descendants, the eight children referred to, 59 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Elizabeth STEVER, who lives a mile west of the city, is a sister of Mrs. CORBIN. She is in the 97th year of her age, but bids fair to celebrate several birthday anniversaries. She is the widow of the late Adam STEVER, who died in the old home more than a third of a century ago. Mrs. STEVER has 80 living descendants, 9 children, 29 grandchildren, and 42 great-grandchildren. In addition to rearing her own large family, Mrs. STEVER was a foster mother to a family almost as large. It is not probably that many Iowa families can vie in numbers with the CORBINs and the STEVERs.
