A Second Death in STEVER Family.

Three of the STEVER brothers, George, David H. and John W., members of one of Jefferson county's oldest and best known families, have been seriously ill within a few weeks past and the two former have died.

Dr. David H. STEVER passed away at his home in this city Thursday, after a week's illness from pneumonia. He was born on the old homestead just west of the city September 16th, 1844. He grew to manhood and was educated here, and graduated from the Keokuk Medical college in 1876. December 5th, 1878, he was married to Alice SHAW, who survives him. Dr. STEVER was a man of energy and excellent habits of life and was actively engaged in the practice of his profession in this community for more than a quarter of a century. Funeral services were held at the home on West Broadway Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. E. Corley. There are many friends who will regret the death of Dr. STEVER and who tender their sympathies to the family which is passing through so great an affliction.
