FOUND DEAD IN HIS BARN. David S. McKEE was found dead in the barn at his home just south of the city Sunday night about 9 o'clock. He was in his usual health at 6 o'clock that evening when the daughter who lives with him left home to attend church services in the city.... heart failure.
Mr. McKEE was a native of Ireland, born April 1st, 1824. He came to this country with his parents in 1831, and, after a residence of eight years at Pittsburgh, Penn., came to this county in 1839 and made it his home until death. In 1843 he was married to Charlotte J. MITCHELL, who died in 1858, and by whom he had four children. Mrs. J. A. HETHERINGTON is the only one now living.
In 1861 Mr. McKEE was married to Margaret E. FELL, now dead. Nine children were born to them, four of whom survive the parents, Walter McKEE of Quincy, Ill., and Charles, George and Kate McKEE of this city. Mr. McKEE was a man of exemplary character and had many warm friendships among the earlier settlers of the county....
