Funeral of Harry W. RIDER at Bethesda Church.... passed away early Monday morning at his home two miles southeast of the city. Burial Evergreen. A son, Thomas D. RIDER, of Dunlap, Iowa, and a brother Warren RIDER of Hemingford, Neb., attended the services. Mr. RIDER was born Jan. 29, 1874.

Survived by his wife and the following children: Thomas D. of Dunlap, Ia.; Robert R. of Fairfield, and Florence and Ruth at home. He also leaves two grandchildren, Marylin Joyce and Roberta Ruth of Fairfield, and one brother, Warren of Hemingford, Neb..

RIDER FUNERAL WAS YESTERDAY

Many Friends and Relatives Attended Last Rites Yesterday

Many relatives and friends gathered at the Bethesda church four miles east of Fairfield, yesterday to attend the last rites for Harry W. RIDER, who passed away early Monday morning at his home two miles southeast of the city.

Rev. G. W. Pool and Rev. J. C. Porath officiated at the services. Mrs. Darrell Whitaker and Miss Florence Johnson, accompanied by Mrs. Glen McCormick on the piano, sang “Nearer My God To Thee,” “Face To Face,” and “Sweetly Resting.”

Pallbearers were Sylvester Liblin, Earl Holmes, Louis Pequignot, J. Wilbur Dole, Charles Crarke (sic – Clarke?) and Frank McCormick.

The body was brought to Evergreen cemetery for burial. Short services were held at the grave in charge of Reb. (sic) Pool and Rev. Porath.

A son, Thomas D. RIDER, of Dunlap, Iowa, and a brother Warren RIDER of Hemingford, Neb. attended the services.

Mr. RIDER was born January 29, 1874. He is survived by his wife and the following children: Thomas D., of Dunlap, Ia.; Robert R., of Fairfield, and Florence and Ruth at home. He also leaves two grandchildren, Marily Joyce and Roberta Ruth of Fairfield and one brother, Warren of Hemingford, Neb.

Note: Harry’s wife was Kate G. DAVIES who died in 1948. They are buried in Lot 3rd.073, with their daughter Florence Ruth (1913-1999).
