Anna HAMPSON STONER Is Gone.
Anna H. STONER, a daughter of the late E. C. HAMPSON, died in this city Monday at 2 o'clock a. m. She had been in ill health for about a year past, and her condition was such a few weeks ago that the presence of her only sister, Miss Iowa HAMPSON of Washington, D. C., was considered necessary. Mrs. STONER was born in Fairfield August 23d, 1852, and her entire life was spent here. She was married to R. J. STONER in September, 1871, and the husband died March 10th, 1894. With her death there is not a member of the STONER or HAMPSON families left in the community. Mrs. STONER was a member of the Baptist church and of the P. E. O. society. She was a woman of real worth and of kindly presence, active and energetic and had many warm friendships in the community which had so long been her home. The funeral will take place from the HAMPSON home on East Briggs street this afternoon at 2:30. Rev. C. S. McElhinny will conduct the service.
