"Fairfield Ledger", June 4, 1889, Pg. 2, Col. 3

DEATH OF ABRAHAM STONER.... well known resident of Fairfield township, at his home 2½ miles northwest of this city Saturday afternoon...

Mr. STONER was born in Somerset County, Penn., Aug. 21, 1826. At the age of 10 years he removed with his parents to Ohio, where he was married to Almira PARSONS, who survives him, Nov. 22, 1849. In the spring of 1864 the family removed to this county, where they have since resided. Here Mr. STONER has been engaged in farming and stock raising, and he was an active, industrious man....

Three adult children survive the father, Ralzeman, Nettie and C.E., all of whom attended him in his last illness. The remains were interred in this city Sabbath afternoon... A large assemblage of people paid the last sad rites of respect to their dead friend and neighbor.
