Cranmore Wallace GAGE, born Hartford, Vt., May 29, 1828... mentions his only brother, Theodore S. GAGE. Is survived by his son Charles H. GAGE of this city, and two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, they being the descendants of his son Fred W. GAGE, who died some years ago...
When he was eight years old the parents moved to Boston and in the spring of 1838 they moved again to Ackworth, New Hampshire, remaining there only a few months, when they started westward in a covered wagon....

CRANMORE WALLACE GAGE... helped to organize our first Old Settlers association when the meeting was held in the Slagle and Acheson grove where the Chautaqua Park is now located. He was a charter member of our Jefferson County Historical Association and was its first and only treasurer up to now. He attended the last meeting of the Historical Association a few weeks ago when there was not enough members and officers to call the meeting to order. He took a very active part in establishing our Old Settlers Park and in removing the Bonnifield Log Cabin to its present site....
