DEATH OF DAVID J. EVANS... on the 25th inst., at the age of about sixty years, at his residence, in the vicinity of this place. His lungs had been affected for several years but his death occurred suddenly and unexpectedly. The deceased was a native of southern Pennsylvania -- of Lancaster County, we believe, but came to this county about eleven years since from the neighborhood of "Ten Mile Creek", Washington County, Penn..
A surviving brother, Gabriel EVANS, resides at Zanesville, Ohio, and a sister, Mrs. Sarah BECK, formerly of this place, is now living at New Liberty, Owen County, Ky.. The deceased was related to Hon. J. Clancy JONES, of Berks Co., and also to other respectable families of that section of Pennsylvania. During his residence in this county, he had worthily filled the offices of Clerk of the District Court and County Assessor. He was an honest, true hearted man, a kind friend, husband and father, -- and an intelligent and agreeable gentleman. -- Jeffersonian
