AN OLD TIME METHODIST MINISTER. Rev. Edward McCARTY died in this city Wednesday.... Native of Maryland born Oct. 19, 1824. He removed to West Virginia in early life and was married there to Miss Louisa DAVISSON who died in this city in 1897. He was the father of five children, two of whom are now living -- Mrs. D. H. McKEE of Ottumwa and Frank McCARTY. Mr. McCARTY lived for many years on a farm in Buchanan Township, but removed to this city in 1891... Remains were interred in the City Cemetery.
