DEATH OF S. S. WALKUP. Word came to this city Friday of the death of Mr. S. S. WALKUP, at Perlee, at 2 p.m.. Perhaps two months ago he was stricken with paralysis, and had suffered considerably ever since....

Mr. WALKUP was born in Blair County, Penn., in 1845, and removed to Iowa with his father's family in 1860. He was married in 1868, and leaves a wife and four children. As a soldier in Co. B, 8th Iowa Cavalry, he made an enviable record.... For some time he has been a merchant in Perlee.
