DEATH OF MRS. HOLBROOK. Mrs. Amy B. HOLBROOK died Sept. 14, 1883, at her home in Selma, Iowa, aged 74 years, 1 month and 1 day. Mrs. HOLBROOK was the mother of Mrs. Thos. H. SHEWARD, of this city, and her remains were brought here for interment.

Amy B. BISHOP was born in Belprey, Ohio, August 13, 1809, and was married to Jonathan HOLBROOK in 1826. Her husband died in 1836. In 1863 she removed with her two children to Missouri and in 1868 came to Van Buren County, Iowa. Miss Melissa B. HOLBROOK has lived with her mother and was with her when she died. Funeral services over the deceased were held at the house of Mr. SHEWARD by Rev. J. W. Robinson, and the remains were laid in their last resting place on the 15th inst..
