FRANK BOYD DIED LATE YESTERDAY
Had Been in Poor Health for Three Years; Leaves Wife and Daughter

Frank J. BOYD, seventy-nine years old, passed away last evening at his home, nine miles northwest of the city. He has been in poor health for the past there years.

Besides his wife, he leaves one daughter Mrs. W. E. GREESON of Ottumwa and a half brother, Ed. RAMSAY, northwest of Fairfield. Mr. BOYD has lived in that community for fifty-two years.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at two oclock at Moyer Chapel north of Fairfield, in charge of Rev. H. E. Butler. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.

OBITUARY

Frank J. BOYD

Frank J. BOYD, son of Frank and Elizabeth BOYD, was born in Jefferson county, Iowa, April 15 1850, and departed this life June 6, 1929, at the age of 79 years, 1 month and 22 days, after being in poor health for the past three years. His last illness was of six weeks duration.

He was united in marriage to Mary H. WEST, March 4, 1875. To this union was born one daughter. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, one daughter, Mrs. W. E. GREESON of Ottumwa, Iowa, and 3 grandchildren, Boyd GREESON of Washington, D.C., Raymond K. GREESON of Ottumwa, Iowa, and one greatgrandchild, Donald CORNELISON.

He was converted and united with the Center M. E. church in 1895, and lived a faithful Christian life, often making the wish during his last illness that he was anxious and ready to go, he had nothing to fear.

Funeral services were held in the Pleasant Grove Methodist church, Saturday, June 8, at 2:00 p.m., and were conducted by Rev. Harvey E. Butler, the pastor.

The body was laid to rest in the Evergreen cemetery in Fairfield.

Frank J. BOYD, son of Frank and Elizabeth BOYD was born in Jefferson county, Iowa, April 15, 1850, and departed this life June 6, 1929, at the ae of 79 years, 1 month and 22 day. (sic) Of a number of brothers and sisters, only one, Ed. RAMSAY of near Brookville, survives him

He was married to Mary H. WEST March 4, 1875. To this union was born one child, Mrs. May GREESON, who is herself mother to three and grandmother to one child. Some years after their daughter's marriage, Mrs. BOYD's niece, Miss Elsie NEFF, came to make her home with the BOYDs and she has been a great help to them in their declining years.

In Mr. BOYD's passing the community has lost much. He has taken his full share of public responsibilities and has been township chairman for the republican party for years.
