ISRAEL HAYNES DIED LAST NIGHT

At His Home, 604 West Monroe Street; Body at Hoskins Funeral Home

Israel HAYNES, who has been a resident of this state for the past fifty years, passed away last night at 10:30 o'clock at his home, 604 West Monroe street. The body has been taken to the Hoskins funeral home, awating the funeral arrangements.

Mr. HAYNES was preceded in death by his wife, who was formerly Miss Martha Ellen HUDGEL, and she died here May 19, 1912. A son, C. E. HAYNES, passed away Feb. 4, 1926. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. John McLANE, and the following grandchildren: Clyde, Charles, Hugh and Percy HAYNES, Mrs. Earl HENDRICKS and Clifford McLANE. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Mary J. CLINKENBEARD.

HAYNES RITES TOMORROW AT 3:00 AT FUNERAL HOME

The last rites for Israel HAYNES, who passed away Wednesday night at his home, 604 West Monroe street, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3:00 o'clock from the Hoskins Funeral Home. Rev. Louis Mendenhall, assisted by Rev. W. H. McDonald, will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

HAYNES FUNERAL HELD SATURDAY AFTERNOON AT 3

Many relatives and friends paid their last respects to the memory of Israel HAYNES, who died Wednesday night, at the funeral services held Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Hoskins funeral home.

Rev. Louis Mendenhall, assisted by Rev. W. H. McDonald, conducted the services. Miss Cora Ball sang, "Going Down the Valley" and "Rock of Ages." Many beautiful flowers were banked around the casket and in vases in the room. The casket attendants were: Clyde, Charles, Jesse and John Henry HAYNES and Earl and Harve Scearcey. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery.

OBITUARY

ISRAEL HAYNES

Israel HAYNES, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fredric HAYNES, was born in Dubuque, Iowa, January (sic - June) 5, 1853 and departed this life at his home in Fairfield, Iowa, Wednesday evening at 10:30 at the age of 76 years.

When a small child Mr. HAYNES came to Jefferson county and has remained ever since. On Dec. 25, 1874 he was united in marriage with Miss Ellen HUDGEL, who passed away May 18 (sic - 19th), 1912. To this union was born two children, one Clarence who proceeded (sic) him in death two years ago and one daughter, Mrs. John McLANE who survives. He also leaves six grand children and one sister, Mrs. Mary J. CLINKENBEARD of Fairfield, besides a host of friends.

Mr. HAYNES has not been well for a number of years but has born (sic) his long suffering patiently.

Funeral services were held from the Hoskins funeral home, Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Lewis Mendenhall, assisted by Rev. McDonald. Music was furnished by Miss Cora Ball who sang, Going Down the Valley and Rock of Ages. The floral pieces were many and beautiful.

Interment was made in the Evergreen cemetery. The pall bearers: Clyde HAYNES, Charles HAYNES, Jesse HAYNES, John Henry HAYNES, Earl Scearcey and Harve Scearcey.
